As a UX/UI Designer, you will work on site in our Columbus home office, where you will collaborate with strategists, digital art directors, architects and developers, under the guidance of the creative director, to design intelligible digital user interfaces, ensure that they work, and make them an exciting, memorable part of the user experience. Design influences and is accountable to all aspects of the work we produce with our clients. Concept, user experience, user interface and brand expression are all in bounds in the Dynamit design stack. Designers at Dynamit are responsible for understanding business problems and working with strategy, architecture and technology peers to solve them through designed solutions. Projects include consumer-facing websites, properties and campaigns, web applications, native applications, internal tools, and enterprise software. Listed below are expectations of all Dynamit associates that take on the role of UX/UI Designer. Requirements

  • Create visual design, user experience and user interface projects
  • Consider usability and conversion best practices in all work
  • Participate in brainstorms and other group activities
  • Contribute to/execute content layout as well as maintenance/upkeep on existing projects
  • Translate business and functional requirements into sketches and design assets
  • Collaborate with solution delivery, architecture, quality assurance and technology peers

Qualifications & Experience

  • 3+ years experience designing interactive experiences (concepts, UX, UI) in consideration of websites, web/native applications, or other web properties
  • Ability to deliver strong design based on business requirements, brand, and strategy
  • Proficient with Sketch
  • Well-versed with Adobe Creative Suite including a strong command of Photoshop, experience with Illustrator and knowledge of Indesign
  • Showcases interest and knowledge in current digital trends and best practices
  • Strong digital portfolio
  • Track record working within team environment inclusive of developers, peer designers, and architects/business analysts
  • Desire and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with deadlines and high standards
  • Strong understanding of production and asset creation
  • Understanding of HTML, dHTML and cross-browser/platform parameters
  • Familiarity with JavaScript, CSS and AJAX capabilities
  • Outstanding communication and listening skills - with both your team and clients
  • Good time management skills
